Wool Cats began with a simple belief: every cat deserves something real, natural, and made with love. What started as a small idea in Las Vegas has grown into a joyful, wool‑filled world where craftsmanship, tradition, and feline happiness come together.
At the heart of every Wool Cats product is pure New Zealand sheep wool — a natural fiber rich in lanolin, the comforting scent mother cats produce. To a cat, lanolin isn’t just a smell. It’s memory. It’s safety. It’s kittenhood. That’s why cats instinctively curl into our caves, bat at our toys, and carry them around like treasures. They’re responding to something ancient and familiar.
Each Wool Cats piece is brought to life by women artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal, who practice the traditional art of wet felting and needle felting. Their hands shape every curve, every stitch, every tiny detail — from the expressive faces on our toys to the sculpted forms of our vegetable‑inspired cat caves.
Our signature Turnip Cat Cave, for example, takes nearly five hours of steady, skilled felting to create. Many of our toys — bees, onions, mice, and more — are needle‑felted with remarkable precision, giving each one a personality of its own. No two pieces are ever exactly alike, because they’re not manufactured. They’re made.
